I AM AN ARTIST
It's Thursday July 10th, 2025 and I have been creating art earlier than I can remember. However, somehow it still feels weird all these years later to actually say the words, " I am an artist ". The only difference is, the older I grow and the more in love I fall with every kind of art, I am starting to realize that it is okay for me to say those four words. Sometimes, we have this preconceived notion of what it is to create art. I mean of course we know about the greats like Van Gogh and Picasso but then you have those out of the box (equally great) artist like Basquiat who dare to be different and create what they feel and not what they think others want to see. Diving into Basquiats works of art really showed me that art is all about the interpretation of the viewer. His art is like viewing beautifully organized chaos on canvas.
